And the Living Is Easy

It’s the last day of July and I’m wondering why. Wasn’t it April last time I looked? Wasn’t I twenty-five two weeks ago? Why does time accelerate with each passing decade? Who will ever know what can’t be known or need to know? Or? Uh. The fact is, it’s the lazy season. Brain in daytime sleep mode. Turn off the news and watch the sky, big high puffy whipped cream clouds out my window and the living is easy. So now I think I’ll take a slow walk down by the river.
